Accessible trails in the Florence area of Lane County Oregon

Trail Index for Oregon's Central Coast Region

Two counties flank Oregon's Central Coast: Lincoln county and the western portion of Lane county. The bulk of the central coast is in Lincoln County. Major towns and villages along Highway 101 include Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, Newport, Waldport, and Yachets, which is at the southern border of the county. Just south of Yachets is the Cape Perpetua area, which is in Lane county.

Highway 101 and its spectacular ocean views and waysides continues south into the western portion of Lane County served by the town of Florence. Florence is the northern gateway to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and its massive sand dunes.
