Trail Index for Central Oregon

Newberry Volcanic National Monument

The high-desert country of Central Oregon draws tourists far and wide. This rugged landscape is known for a variety of recreation such as skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking and other rigerous pursuits. Fortunately, there are a few trails accessible to persons with disabilities.

For the purposes of this Web site, the Central Oregon section includes Wasco, Jefferson, Crook, and Deschutes counties, covering the eastern sloops of the Cascades, north to the Columbia River (Dalles area) and south past Bend to the Newberry National Volcanic Monument.
