Accessible trails in the North Central area of Washington State for Wheelers and Slow Walkers

The North Central listing of accessible trails includes Okanogon, Chelan, Douglas, and Grant Counties.

Part of this area makes up a beautiful section of the scenic North Cascades Loop with the Hwy 20 corridor in Okanogon County and the Hwy 2 corridor in Chelan County. Okanogon has got some of the best fishing in the state, and is probably this author's most favorite area to camp, fish, birdwatch, and explore the backroads. Unfortunately, the wheelchair accessible trails are few and far between, but check back often, because hopefully there will be new developments in this area.

The Coulee Corridor runs along the east side of the Columbia River and offers a totally different experience in the beautiful, wide-open shrub-steppe, with its columnar basalt rock formations roughly defined by the ancient course of the Columbia River. Fishing and wildlife opportunities abound. We definately need more universal access to this wonderful area.

The buttons on the left divide the North Central area into these three sections. Click a button to explore that area's accessible trails.
